Starting with the construction and leasing of seven townhouses to a mining company, Mr. Barnard laid the foundation for his venture into the real estate sector. Over the years, his expertise and strategic investments allowed him to diversify into commercial and industrial properties, expanding his business reach to Kuruman.
Location Evolution and Expansion
In 2023, the entrepreneurial journey took a significant turn as the Barnards ventured into the hospitality industry by acquiring Azalea Guest Lodge. This strategic move was not just an expansion but a diversification into a new sector, enriching their portfolio. Starting with seven bedrooms, they expanded the lodge to ten, enhancing its capacity and setting a new benchmark in hospitality.
Ownership and Management
Oarabile and Mpho Barnard, a dynamic duo in both life and business, are the pillars behind Azalea Guest Lodge. Mpho Barnard holds a slight majority stake of 51%, ensuring a balance of strategic oversight and operational excellence that has been crucial to the lodge's success.
